Fundraising for a cause as noble as finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease is a challenge that requires considerable hard work and dedication. In 2023, the team at Oak Park® Place in Green Bay dedicated time and many efforts into fundraising for the Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Every year the Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association hosts the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” in many counties across Wisconsin. Oak Park® Place employees, residents, family members, and community supporters participate in and fund raise for several walks.  

The Oak Park® Place team in Green Bay pulled together as a community and committed to fundraising year-round in 2023 to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. From staff and community donations to events such as a homemade lemon pie fundraiser in July and a festive wreath decorating fundraiser in November, they raised a grand total of $5,317!

The team’s hard work paid off in more ways than one! Not only did they fund raise a large sum of money for an important cause, but they were also recognized by the Green Bay Walk to End Alzheimer's as the Largest Senior Care Team with 29 members and Most Money Raised by a Senior Care Team.  

Oak Park® Place is proud to have teams in each community who put in the extra time and effort to support a cause as important as finding a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease. There is no doubt Oak Park® Place Green Bay will be fighting for those titles again this year as they just wrapped up their first fundraiser of 2024, a homemade chili drive thru, which raised an impressive $1,865!
